1991
The most popular venue in Granollers in the 70’s and 80’s was Bar Beria. Many hours consuming and talking about projects, among other things. It was demolished in 2003.
In 1991 I was invited to a local exhibition, and I presented a fragment of the lining of the wooden laminate floor that was behind the bar on the floor. As if it were a picture.
The thing, placed horizontally, could show a landscape, or any other pareidolia, attacked by extended stains that were nothing more than the wear of the linoleum lining that the waiters, over time, were stepping on as they circulated the platform.
Showing, then, your feet to the head. An automatic work. Made with the feet. By the head
The piece, after finishing the show, remained in a warehouse for a few years and later was destroyed when it was considered rubbish. A good ending.
When I retrieve the photograph where I appeared stripping the linoleum off, I wanted to reconstruct that work imitating the memory that I have, in a approximate drawing and the cloudy coincidence of a disturbing sunset.
