Project to translate into text the random composition procedure used in the acoustic works I have produced.
A group of 40 annotations and written texts allowing for a choice of 27 fragments to be made so a certain correlation between them is be possible if read in no any pre-established order. An insoluble puzzle randomly or capriciously interchangeable as often as may be considered necessary:
A and B, 2 characters, supposedly contemporary artists, are having a conversation at a table where they have just finished a meal. The characters speak the first combination of the 27 phrases for the first time, as if the conversation had already begun some time earlier.
They link with the second sequence of the 27 phrases, in the same tone, and continue that way until the seventh combination, six from the original script and the seventh chosen by the director.
The text can be extended with further combinations of the 27 phrases for as long as considered appropriate.
The entire work is to be captured on video-tape with no pauses, with a continuous fixed camera position and subtitles in English.
The name of the piece is constituted by the word REPRISE (REPETITION in musical language) and the numbers of the timecode representing the length of the recorded video.
Other directors can interpret the piece by altering the language and other specifications, prior agreement with the author.
