After almost 20 years of its presentation, Vacca decides to remaster the video ANNA and THE WOLF in an improved version of the image and sound to show it on his YouTube channel.

Every now and then, I watch movies, like in a video club, at random, and I save certain sound fragments to review later.

And I remembered some video footage with my daughter Anna, captured about twenty years ago.

I decided to edit the footage with different slow motion, and almost all the sound I found in the recorder at that moment, plus a few more things, as a calibrated background.

And that’s it.

Sound isn’t a complement to the images; they are subject to the sound and lengthen and contract according to the sound. The sound is always changing, and the images are always repeating. There’s a loop of the images, but not of the sound, and the images adapt to it. The images are from an old home video in which the artist and his young daughter appear in a sequence in which apparently nothing relevant happens.

Vacca is a sniper of intermittent public appearances that tend to be stimulating by functioning as clear countermodels of the prevailing situation, of a negative image of what is a positive assumed by the majority. Lucid and disbelieving, he defends art in its original sense of activity, exercised with a total absence of transcendence, a covert ironic component and a palpable affirmation of the everyday.
