In occasion of the celebration of the anniversary of the opening on 9 March 1963 of the Museu Picasso, a revival of culture in Barcelona that was the subject of much debate at that time, to mark this occasion, the museum presents a piece within the line of contemporary art interventions that the museum launched last year 2017.
STORM at the MUSEU PICASSO is a sound installation by the artist Vacca adapted to the space of the Pati Finestres of the Museu Picasso.
1990, Dia de la Terra, Montjuïc, Barcelona
STORM was shown at 1990 as a sound installation at the Fountains of Montjuïc as part of Day of the Earth Festival. The sound simulates a long storm in all its phases, emitted by means of several powerful sets of reproduction equipment to produce 8 hours of uninterrupted emission.
Subsequently, in 2018, a rectified version was shown at the Museu Picasso of Barcelona.
